Desert Development Project

The Desert occupies vast areas of North Darfur and western Northern State and borders Chad and Libya, It also contains enormous wealth of fertile lands, groundwater, minerals and antiquities, and many studies have been conducted on them (the Germans), It is inhabited by scattered groups of Arab tribes in a primitive life, In its current state, it poses many risks to national and regional security.

Project Description

The project is building a national road linking North Darfur with the capital of the Northern State and linking both of them to Libya via Kufra. It also includes the implementation of integrated agricultural, mining and tourism projects, in addition to the rural development of the Arab tribes scattered in the desert.
